Child Identification Cards.

The Villa Rica Police Department is offering Child Identification Cards. The card is for the parent or guardian to keep with them in the event the child becomes missing. The parent can give the card to the responding police officer so that they can have the child's vital information immediately.

The front of the card will include the child's photograph, name, date of birth, height, weight, hair and eye colors, as well as the parent's information. The back of the card will have the child's fingerprint and information on what to do if your child is missing. The cards will be made of a laminated plastic similar to the material of a driver's license. The cards will cost five dollars for the first and two dollars for an additional card with a limit of two cards. The cards will be made at the Villa Rica Police Department by police personnel.

"Child identification cards, when kept current, can be a valuable tool in assisting law enforcement officers in locating a missing child more quickly because all of the child's vital information, and photo is immediately available."
